A listings space for collectors, attached to MintCards. Fixed price, offer or auction, free to list, commission only when a sale goes through.

Every collector knows the situation: duplicates piling up, a card never played, a set abandoned halfway. And somewhere out there, someone looking for exactly that card.

Le Market exists to put the two together. It opens today.

What it is, and what it is not

Le Market is a listings space between private individuals. The cards on it are posted by members of the community, not by MintCards. We are neither the seller nor the owner of those items: we provide the platform, the rules and the framework.

In practical terms, a Market listing is not ordered like a shop product. It does not go into the same basket, it cannot be combined with an order, and it does not fall under our terms of sale.

Selling: three ways to go about it

Posting a listing is free. You choose the mode that suits your card:

Fixed price. You state a price, the first person to accept it takes the card. Simple, fast, suited to a piece with a known market value.

Fixed price with offer. Same principle, but the buyer can also propose an amount. It is up to you to accept or not. Useful when you are unsure about the price, or open to negotiating.

Auction. You set a starting bid and a duration. The market decides. The right mode for a rare card whose value on the day nobody really knows.

The commission

It applies only when a sale goes through. A listing that finds no buyer costs nothing.

The commission is 6% of the sale price, with a minimum of 50 centimes and a cap of 250 francs. That cap matters: on a high-value piece it turns a percentage into a fixed amount, well below what most marketplaces charge.

It applies to the sale price alone. Shipping costs stay with you in full.

Buying: choose the handover first

On every listing you state how you want to receive the card, postal delivery or handover in person, before buying, bidding or making an offer. The button then displays the total amount, shipping included where applicable.

That choice is final for the listing in question. It is not an arbitrary constraint: it is what guarantees that the amount shown is the real one, and that nothing surprising turns up afterwards.

How a sale unfolds

Once the sale is agreed, buyer and seller get in touch and payment happens between them. Each step is confirmed in your account area: the buyer confirms payment sent, the seller confirms payment received, the buyer confirms the item arrived.

These confirmations are not a formality. They form the record of the transaction, and they govern how any dispute is handled, which you can report from your account area before anything is invoiced to the seller.

Your identity

Selling carries obligations. Your first and last name are given to the buyer once the sale is agreed, and they are locked from your first listing onwards. Check them before you publish: a later correction goes through us.
