Twenty-five years on from the first film, Kakawow releases an anniversary set in hobby box and blaster box. A good moment to walk through the Harry Potter shelf at MintCards.
Twenty-five years. That is the distance between the first screening of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone and autumn 2026. A whole generation grew up with these films, and a second one is discovering them now. Kakawow marks the date with an anniversary release, available from us as of today.
Kakawow Aura Harry Potter 25th Anniversary
The centrepiece of the shelf. The release is built on previously unseen film stills and on cards signed by nine actors from the best-known roles.
The hobby box holds 10 packs of 5 cards and yields 1 to 4 limited cards on average. Base cards run to nine numbered parallels: Starlight at 299 copies, then Cyan at 145, Blue at 95, Orange at 75, Purple at 45, Green at 25, Gold at 10, Red at 3, and Black as a one-of-one. Aura cards add five Peacock parallels, up to the equally unique Black Peacock. The 25th Anniversary autographs are numbered to 45 copies and come in rare parallels of their own.
On inserts the release is generous: Magic Trilogy, Sorcerer's Stone, Deathly Hallows, Horcrux, Butter Beer, Portrait, Patron Saint, and more besides.
The blaster box is the other way in. Shorter format, friendlier price, and above all two limited cards exclusive to this configuration, which the hobby box does not contain. So it is not a cut-down hobby box, it is different content.
How to choose? The hobby box goes for depth: more cards, better odds on the rare parallels and the autographs. The blaster box goes for discovery and gifting, with exclusives that completist collectors end up hunting anyway.

Letogoods Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. Same house as Kakawow: Letogoods is Suplay's mass-market line, and the series is jointly licensed with Warner Bros. The box holds 18 packs of 5 cards, covering 171 designs across 8 categories, and yields 3 limited cards per box. You will find Clear Group Cards on transparent PET with gold foil detailing, Special-Shaped Cards die-cut after props from the film such as the Golden Snitch, Stained Glass Cards in a leaded-window style, and the Ultimate Character Cards at the top of the rarity ladder. The ideal way into Harry Potter cards, at a distinctly gentler price.
The theory11 deck, blue edition. Nothing to do with trading cards: this is a genuine, playable 54-card deck, officially licensed. Embossed tuck case, gold foil, artwork redrawn from scratch on the aces, jokers and court cards, with Harry and the Golden Snitch, Snape and his potions textbook, Luna and her Spectrespecs. The kind of object you give as a gift and that stays out on a table.
The 20th anniversary box. An older edition, published for the saga's twentieth anniversary, still available in limited quantity. A collector's item in its own right for anyone who has followed the franchise from the start.
