Toploader Super Thick 75pt (25)

This toploader belongs to Ultra Pro's Super Thick range. Its opening is calibrated for cards up to 75 points in thickness, close to four times the thickness of a standard card.

Understanding point thickness: a point, or pt, equals one thousandth of an inch. A standard playing card measures around 12 pt. Sleeved it reaches 20 to 25 pt, and double-sleeved around 35 pt. Beyond that you enter the range of thickened cards: relic and jersey cards, which embed a fragment of fabric, generally sit between 50 and 75 pt. Patch cards and booklet cards go higher still.

This 75 pt format is therefore made for cards that a standard 35 pt toploader will not take: sports cards with inserts, thick commemorative cards, or standard cards protected by a double layer of sleeves.

Conversely, a thin standard card placed in this toploader will sit loose and move around inside, which can damage the corners. For an ordinary card, use the 35 pt format.

The rigid plastic encloses the card, keeps it clean and absorbs impact. The 3 x 4 inch outer format remains compatible with toploader binders and standard storage boxes.
